We are currently back in Mór visiting family and hosting our Mór Fit Run Original. Saturday is our long run day in the garmin half marathon training plan… The only problem was the Garmin was left behind in Budapest. Not to worry I thought as I still had the heart rate strap and the Samsung 8 plus which can connect to ant+ heart rate sensors. I tested it on an old Garmin app to see if it still worked and it connect showing my heart rate.

Having started my run I was constantly checking my rate to see if I was in my zone 2 range. It didn’t take long to realise the app is no longer supported and kept showing 80bpm and the gps wasn’t even tracking where I had been running for the past 5 minutes.

This was fine as I decided to simply run up to Csókakői Vár at an easy pace and enjoy the views along the way.
