It was a wet start to May having 74 runners signing up online but only 23 showing up to the start line. It was looking an unlikely day for records but it soon became apparent we had some form runners amongst us who were ready to set their fastest ever Sziget Run 5K times.
The biggest record to fall in May was the female course record 19:24.1 which had been held by Andrea Szűcs since April 2018. Katarina Goršin broke the female course record in a time of 19:20.3, lowering the previous record by 4 seconds. She was pushed along by the fast of pace of Cian Ryan who was fastest overall in May with a time of 19:11.6. Both runners were rewarded with bottles of wine thanks to FirstMed who have been of great assistance this year.
