A comment in instagram from one of our runners Gabi got me thinking the other day and a little worried. She said that her child will no longer stay in the baby runner and it got me thinking that all the runs I have been doing with Dalma lately have been timed around her sleeping pattern and that the #vivicitta #halfmarathon would begin at a time she would normally be wide awake.
Today was a great opportunity to see if she still enjoyed running with me while she was wide awake. We had visited her aunty today outside of Budapest and she had slept on the way home. I was ok with this as I figured I would simply transfer her to the runner and be on my way and she would still be asleep. This wasn’t the case, when the car engine turned off her eyes opened wide and started that way.
As it turned out we weren’t going to miss out on this run anyhow and it would be a test to see if she could last the run wide awake. As you can see from the video we had no such problems but this is something we have to take into consideration for our preparations.
